A member asked:

What should i do if gum underneath really hurts will bonjela help it for the time being?

Yes, but not magic: Bonjela might help depending on the problem. You can also use a warm salt water rinse. A half teaspoon of salt in a glass of water, rinse and spit. You want to get to the dentist as soon as you can.

Temporary: Bonjela is a topical anesthetic, used primarily for teething infants. It may temporarily ease the pain from damaged gum tissues, but it does not magically heal your gums. Please apply the ointment for temporary relief, then immediately call your dentist for diagnosis and treatment. Hope you feel better.
