Topical anesthetic: This may or may not help depending upon the location of the injection, the expertise of your dentist, your anxiety level, etc. In case, let your dentist and not you apply the topical anesthetic. Even better or in addition to that, ask about 'sweet air'= nitrous oxide\oxygen analgesia.
