Dr. Eli Loch answered

Evaluation: Expect to be evaluated by your anesthesiologist the morning of surgery if you have not already. They should explain the entire process and will be able to answer questions for you. But briefly, you will get an iv, be connected to monitors for heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen levels before going off to sleep. You will also breath oxygen for several minutes just before going off the sleep.
