Brace food: We want you to eat healthy; however, you have to be careful. Loose braces caused by eating hard crunchy foods can make your treatment take longer. If you do eat baby carrots, chop them up into small pieces and you should be fine.

Absolutely not: Anything hard, sticky, or chewy will damage braces, extend your time in treatment, and make going back often for repairs very inconvenient. Raw carrots are hard. "baby carrots" are full sized carrots that have been cut down into handy little shapes. Carrots should be shredded or cooked.
