Chantrix: Chantrix is an newer treatment approved by the fda for smoking cessation. It is related to the antidepressant wellbutrin (bupropion) so it has similar medication profile. Chantrix has been shown to be effective in aiding a person in quitting smoking.

Multiple Meds: Chantix is very effective but can have some side-effects that are difficult to deal with. They do decrease if you keep on the prescribed dose. Zyban also helps many patients and is the same as Wellbutrin (bupropion) used for depression. (A side-effect of Wellbutrin (bupropion) was patients reduced or quite smoking) The best med for you is best determined by your physician or dentist either can prescribe the medications.
