Would appreciate some expert advice for my hearing loss?

Specific diagnosis: I can not emphasize enough how important it is to determine your diagnosis. There are many types of hearing loss. Conductive, Sensori-neural, genetic, progressive, congenital, auto-immune to name a few. If you can give us your symptoms, duration, and any audiometric data, we would be very happy to answer your question.

No problem: You live in the medical capital of the U.S. if not the world. If you can't find expert advice for your hearing loss at Harvard, Tufts, or BU, you're not looking in the right places. However, if you've been told that nothing can be done about your hearing loss and you're having trouble accepting it, there's at least a fair chance that the "experts" won't tell you any different.
