More info: This depends on many other factors such as your weight if you had any injury to that area or if you had any birth defects that may not have healed or been attended to appropriately. Depending on the type of pain you're having an MRI may be a better study as it will show the joints in more detail after which an orthopedic surgeon can do further workup or surgeries that may be indicated.
