A member asked:

I haven't had a period in 5 months because i have high prolatin levels and still waitin to find out why, am i still producing blood?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Need treatment: The blood from your period is the shedding of your endmetrium. You are not "producing blood", but the lining of your endometrium could be getting thick, which is a risk factor for endometrial cancer. If you have elevated prolactin levels, you may have a pituitary tumor (although certain medications or other medical diseases could cause this too). You may need medication for this.
