Dr. John Chiu answered

May not enough: For acute sinusitis, the duration of treatment with Augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate) is 10 days, for chronic 3 or more weeks. Thus either you need to take a few more days of Augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate) or your symptoms were actually helped by the prednisone. It is also unusual to use Prednisone for acute sinusitis.
