A member asked:

What long term effects does retirement to do caregiving have on the body.?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends...: ...On what you are retiring from, what the caregiving entails, and how you feel about caregiving. If you go from a stimulating career to what you see as boring caregiving, depression is likely. If the reverse is true, you will be happy. If your career had been highly physically challenging, the decrease in exercise will be unhealthy; if desk job to running after toddler, it will be good.
