Call the "tapper": Have an idea of why you can't sleep? Pain? Did you have trouble sleeping before getting the tap? I'm curious to know why you would get a spinal tap at 5am? Were you in the er with symptoms of a meningitis? Are you currently hospitalized or back home? Infections can show up at variable times following a tap but generally speaking there should be other symptoms such as fever, possibly chills.
