Can i take colchicine and ibuprofen (for pericardial effusion) with my regular meds, which are zantac daily and occasional valtrex (valacyclovir) for fever blisters?

Drug interactions: The only problen i see is that you are on zantac (ranitidine) presumably for gastritis/gerd. Ibuprophen can certainly worsen these symptoms. Make sure you use ibuprophen on a full stomach and avoid any alcohol. If you have any abdominal pain, stop the ibuprophen immediately.
