A member asked:

Can a bad gallbladder cause diabetes and/or high blood sugars?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Possibly: Any chronic infection/inflammation can cause high sugars in diabetics. If you have inflammation of your gallbladder, that can contribute to high sugars in diabetics or pre-diabetics. A bad gallbladder will not cause diabetes by itself. You need to have an underlying predisposition to diabetes.
