I had a ct scan today. the results say i have a perivascular space on base of brain, on the right. what does this mean? thank you.

Means you check out: It's a benign finding and in fact quite normal in the majority of people.

Benign: Perivascular spaces are just that. There are blood vessels coursing through the brain. On occasion a small cystic space develops around the vessel. I see them every day. They are not important except to recognize them for what they are.

MRI findings: prominent perivascular spaces and few nonspecific white matter changes in both parietal lobes. No abnormal brain or meningeal post gadolinium enhancement. Is there a concern on the findings?
