Unlikely: A deep venous thrombosis normally presents with leg pain and swelling in a person with risk factors. Furthermore it usually presents in one leg and would not move from side to side. What you are describing sounds more like a cramp. Speak with your doctor about this problem so he or she may accurately assess your leg.

Yes it could: The short answer is yes. You would need to see your doctor who would probably order an ultrasound of both legs to examine the deep veins.
