BPPV: Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo. Is the dizziness vertiginous, meaning, is there a spinning component to the dizziness? If so, and if the dizziness definitely gets worse with head movement, then this is likely the bppv. If other symptoms occur, the DX can change. Tx is usually maneuvers, decongestants, sometimes steroids, and sometimes Meclizine or other meds for symptomatic dizziness.
