See doctor: If it just started recently you may benefit from starting an antiviral medicine. It can decrease the length of time the outbreak lasts. In the meantime, go to the pharmacy and purchase "tucks pads" which have numbing medicine (usually for hemorrhoids) that you can put on the affected area. Good luck.
