Flush eye: Nail removers are combinations of ethyl acetate and acetone. These are irritating, stinging but do not penetrate as most come out with the first blink. Flush out your eye; it will be red and irritated for 1/2 to 1 day but will do fine after that.

Rinse your eye: Since time is of the essence, you should immediately rinse your eye with water to remove the toxic material. Afterwards, depending on the severity of the chemical injury, you may need to go to your local emergency room. They can check the pH if your eye and flush it further if needed. An eye doctor may need to see you if injuries are present.
