Very normal: Periods are very irregular for the first 12-24 months after the start of periods (menarche). You can have several one month, then none for three months and so on. Hormone levels are fluctuating, you are not ovulating regularly, and body weight is rapidly changing. All of these things impact cycle frequency and duration. Not to worry!
