Burn skin: Burned skin is smooth and shiny, and vulnerable like the skin on a baby. It may be devoid of natural pigment, in a person with a darker complexion. It is more vulnerable to drying out, to minor injury, and to sunlight. It is important to moisturize and use sunscreen spf 15 or better for the next year to minimize further scarring and improve the chances that the color will return.
