Periapical cyst: It is the most common dental cyst, and it is caused by pulpal necrosis. This condition is treatable by root canal therapy or extraction of the offended tooth, and the cyst should be enuclated. Rec.: do not delay visit to your dentist due to the potential chronic infection and future complications.

Numb and swollen: What you describe can be caused by several dental problems and all of them are serious so see a dentist asap to determine cause and discuss treatment options.
