Yes: It is not uncommon for patients with gall bladder disease to complain of back pain. The pain is usually in the r scapular region, but may be in the mid back or kidney area. Most often, the complaint is of epigastric or RUQ pain with radiation into the back or around the costal margin into the back. However, patients do present with r back pain as their only complaint.
