A member asked:

The 3 day yeast infection cream that was given to me by my doctor is working but it's working very slowly . is that normal?

A doctor has provided 1 answer
Dr. Alvin Lin answered

Yes ; no: It depends upon what you mean by "working very slowly". Assuming that your doctor looked under the microscope to confirm your yeast infection (or at the very least, did a vaginal speculum exam), any of the various prescription ; otc yeast medications should work. However, you may have another concurrent infection that doesn't respond to the yeast medication. So it's best to follow up w/your doc.
