Infection: The overwhelming probability is that this is infected. The complication of not getting this diagnosed and treated immediately if not sooner are spinal osteomyelitis, epidural space infection. Paraspinous infections, infection of the psoas and other muscles. Go and get seen and have this diagnosed now. Good luck.
