I have a sore throat and it is hard to swallow making one of my ears sore?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sore throat/strep?: Although most sore throats are caused by swelling of the tissues due to viral infection you never know if a strep infection could be the cause. That doesn't mean everybody with a sore throat needs to get tested for strep but it does mean that if it is causing problems to the point of not being able to swallow and pain in the ear that a doctor should evaluate you for the next steps. All the best.
