Is it dangerous to take predisone for more than a month?

Prednisone: Prednisone is an immune suppressant. Patient on Prednisone maybe more prone to infections because of immune suppression. It also can raise the blood sugar and it can raise the white blood cell count and it may cause an ulcer. Some patients do require this medication for a long time such as patients with severe copd, polymyalgia rheumatica. The drug needs to be monitored regularly by your docto.
