Sudden onset: Strokes symptoms typically occur with sudden onset and can be caused by either a bold clot or bleeding in the brain. Transient ischemic attacks (TIA) or mini-strokes are often a warning sign for a stroke. Tia symptoms may occur over a few minutes to typically 1-2 hours, if symptoms progress and change over time then often this is a possible migraine. If anyone has acute symptoms then call 911.
