About
Bio
I am an Iranian-American and I grew up in southern California where I completed my medical and graduate degrees at the University of California, Irvine. I also have a PhD in cerebrovascular pharmacology focusing on sex hormones and neurovascular protection. I eventually went to Harvard Medical School where I completed my internal medicine internship, neurology residency, and stroke fellowship. I am now an Assistant Professor of Neurology at the University of Southern California. When not working, I enjoy traveling and discovering new places. I have camped at scenic sites in New Zealand, discovered Guatemala, trekked volcanic rocks in Hawaii, enjoyed the pink sand beaches in Bermuda, and went to the London Olympics! I am an avid photographer, enjoying tennis, and learning to play the piano!
