Depends on damage: CP implys damage to the part of the brain involved with motor function. ( like australia on the globe) if the brain damage is localized to another area ( like china on the globe). People can have a disorder of speach called apraxia, and this is thought by many to reflect brain injury specificly in the speach center.

No: Only those children whose brain injury occured under age 3, and is stable (ie not progressing) and affects their ability to control movement qualify for a diagnosis of cp.

No: CP is a condition in which there is a motor abnormality related to damage to motor control areas. Damage to other areas of the brain will cause damage to those effects controled by those other areas such as speech, intellectual function and sensory areas.
