Possibly but...: Degenerative changes happen in the vitreous gel of the eye (vitreous syneresis) as we age. This is a benign process when the floaters are not attributed to pathological conditions (torn retina, hemorrhage, inflammation). Although a nuance at times, they are best ignored or tolerated by people. Dissolving or surgically eliminating them is not without risks. Future developments are possible.
