Rare: Spontaneous bleeding from the ear is extremely rare. Are you a Q-tip user, or are you using an instrument to clean out your ears? There are probably 3 causes of bleeding from the ear. The above mentioned trauma, a viral infection such as Herpes simplex I and a serious head trauma.
