Trauma: If bleeding is from the outer ear canal without history of trauma to the canal, then it can be due to infection or irritant exposure (excessive use of cleaning solutions for example). If from the inner ear with ruptured ear drum, then this could be from trauma and internal bleeding, inner ear infection, or abnormal growth/lesion in that area.
