A member asked:

Could smoking affect pulmonary atresia?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Smoking : Smoking adversely effects many parts of the body. The organs that are mostly effected are obviously the lungs. Damaging the lungs with smoking can cause pulmonary hypertension, having pulmonary atresia as an already existing problem the two can become exponentially worse and if severe can cause right heart failure.
