Quite smoking about a week a go and now have started having burning sensation in lungs what could this be?

Extra secretions..?: The cilia become more actve after stopping smoking. More phlegm can be produced or brought up as a result. Perhaps this is causing some extra irritation? Of course this would only be temporary.
