Needing 4 root: Canals is a significant amount. This suggests serious problems and a reversal of poor habits is in order. Good hygiene, regular dental visits, eating healthy low or no sugar foods, and a proactive approach to early dental problems with restoration of issues in a timely manner will help reduce or even prevent the need for future/additional root canals! good luck!

Please clarify: Do you mean 4teeth needing root canal procedures? Or do you mean 4 canals on one tooth? Which is common on molars!

It is a lot : Today, dental caries one of the most common diseases throughout the world. During the past decade, changes have occurred in the prevention system of population- based prevention to individual-based prevention. Today with different preventive strategies 4 root canal is a lot!. It is possible to treat in one appointment, but you should talk to your dentist about prevention measures. Respectfully.

4 root canals...: It is not uncommon for a molar to have 4 canals. Normally they have only 3 canals. To answer in another way, if a patient has four teeth with root canals, that may be considered within average for a middle-aged patient. I actually was not sure how to answer your question.

# RCanals in a tooth: The real answer to how many root canals in a tooth is "MANY" Typically there is only so many the DDS can clean with instruments. Molars 4,5, 6 or more are common. Anterior and Bicuspid teeth 2,3,4 can occur. The smallest instrument used is about 6/100th of mm. Small but there are a lot of canals smaller. The DDS uses strong irrigation solutions and ultrasonics to help clean these smaller canals

Depends : If your question applied to the number of canals in an individual molar tooth, than the answer is no. 4 or 5 canals a very common in molars and the use of microscopes and surgical telescopes have become the standard of care in root canal therapy-creating a better understanding of the inside anatomy. If you need root canal in 4 teeth, I'd say yes and you have probably at some point been neglectful.
