Use a thermometer.: Use a thermometer or ear thermometer. You will have symptoms of malaise, tired and a warm skin to touch on the forehead. Drink fluids and try to rest. Call your Dr. office.

Wait 7-10 days: A mild fever can typically be treated at home. Sometimes complications may arise that require a doctor's help. If a mild fever doesn't resolve in 7-10 days see your doctor for consultation.
