"Flu" is respiratory: and people with honest-to-God influenza have sore throat and cough, often with chest pain, which are not seen with hangover. In addition, high temperatures with shaking chills are part of influenza, and not part of being hungover. If you were drinking to excess, and you feel washed out, loggy, headache etc., it is a hangover. Stop drinking too much.
