Flu is extremely rare in August. If you mean flu as common upper respiratory illnesses (common cold), there is no specific treatment, only supported treatments for symptoms. If you mean flu as seasonal influenza A or B, oseltamivir (tamiflu) may be used in the first 48 hours after the symptom onset and its use may reduce the duration illness, complications and the amount of viral shedding.
