Yes it can be cured: If you seek medical help as soon as possible and are started on tamiflu (oseltamivir) after the diagnosis is made that will cut down the course of the influenza and you will recover/cured sooner in most of the cases without taking tamiflu (oseltamivir) the influenza may get better by itself, sometimes complications like peumonia etc and very rarely it can be fatal especially in patients with underlying immunity&other problems.
