Yes: If someone has a bad enough toothache that cannot get in to see a dentist, which is usually going to be on a weekend, an emergency room will see them. This type of severe tooth pain usually means there is an abscess from an infected tooth. In addition to the pain, there may be swelling. An emergency dr. Will probably prescribe antibiotics and give instructions to see a dentist asap.

Partially: Most hospitals do not have dental residents so all they can do is to try and manage pain by giving narcotics and antibiotics. A very expensive visit for temporary relief at best. It is not a good idea to put off dental pain as it rarely improves on its own
