How are reusable and disposable gauze roll bandages different?

Often the Same: It is more on how they are intended to be used. Bandages for covering an open wound should never be reused because of the risk of infection. Use them once when they are clean then throw them away. Elastic type bandages e.g. splinting a sprained ankle can be reused because they do not need to be sterile- just clean.

All gauzes are dispo: All gauze rolls are disposable and used on one patient only. However they can sometimes can be reused for the dressing in the same patients.
