Complicated.: Pain medications are a sensitive subject, unfortunately. They are regulated by the DEA and state licenses for controlled substances. Usually people in their 30s are flagged as possible drug seekers, or high risk for diversion/abuse in general. Trust is really important between your physician and yourself, many times they have contracts for pain control. Some doctors feel more comfortable.
