A member asked:

Can i be nearsighted if both my parents are?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Possibly: Nearsightedness is becoming more common and certainly to whatever extent there is inheritance, if both of your parents have it you might more likely have it. At your age (41) you should already know the answer. You can be tested at your ophthalmologist for this and you are entering the presbyopic age so an evaluation is reasonable.
