Chipped tooth: Restoration's prognosis depends on the condition when it was restored. If the trauma caused hyperemia, it will take awhile for for the nerve to recover or may progress to an acute or chronic pulp disease.

It depends: If the chip on your tooth is minor, then the sensitivity should not last beyond a few weeks. If the chip is of consequence, ie serious, you may need pupal treatment and/or restorative treatment. Any chipped tooth should be checked, as what you see may only be part of a fracture, and may involve a catastrophic failure and pain

Chipped tooth: The tooth will not fix itself. Depending on how big the chip is, your bite, eating habits, health the chip may progress into more decay, increasing pain, more breaking, and tooth loss. Or nothing else may happen. Can't tell you what your fate will be, but I recommend that you see a dentist and get it looked at and hopefully fixed.
