Will taking 1mg of xanax (alprazolam) work for a moderate fear of flying?

Way too much: Sometimes because 1 mg seems like a really low dose, people forget (including some of my colleagues) that Alprazolam is a very potent drug, and that 1 mg of xanax (alprazolam) is the equivalent of up to 15 mg of valium. Doctors starting valium will give no more than 5 mg (sometimes 1-2 mg in the elderly or benzo-naive). Xanax (alprazolam) should be started at 0.25 - 0.5 mg for most people.And yes it can reduce that anxiety.
