Why is it called a brain freeze when the person's brain doesn't actually get any pain, but it is in the mouth area?

Brain freeze: Consuming ice cold drinks or ice cream causes stimulation of roof of mouth (Palate) which causes rapid changes in small vessels in the sinuses which sends signals to the brain thru the Trigeminal nerve, causing referred pain (headache).
