Good question: New technology is expensive, including new imaging tests and new radiation methods. New drugs are also horrendously expensive. Pharma companies state it is due to the cost of research and development. I'll leave it to the reader to decide on that but when you read about medicare giving "huge amounts of money to doctors" remember that is to pay for the drugs you get. Best to you.
