What is a good gentle cure for fecal impaction?

Digital stimulation: Just placing a finger in rectum (digital stim.) may cause evacuation of impacted stool. Another 'gentle' treatment is placing a glycerin supposity in the rectum (which essentially does the same thing). Finally an enema may help.

Glycerine suppositor: Or a fleet mineral oil enema followed by a plain fleet enema (sodium bisphosphate) if no results from the mineral oil.
