Many possibilities: Cold sensitive teeth can be due to many causes. Tooth decay, fracture or cracks in the tooth, recession of the gums exposing the root surface, a leaking filling, hypersensitive nerves in the teeth from consistent trauma such as bruxism, to name a few. The best answer is to see your dentist and seek his professional opinion. Sometimes a topical Fluoride gel used over time is helpful.
