Don't know: What you mean by "inflammation in your blood work", but to answer your question endocarditis is a very bad thing that needs to be aggressively treated, .

Yes: You have to be admitted to the hospital for at least 4 weeks depending on the infectious etiology and it can cause systemic complications.
